Getting Started – Visualizer

Before you begin: create a logon account

The Visualizer requires a logon account, and Cyfin and CyBlock ship with only the built-in admin account — no others. Before you (or anyone else) can log into the Visualizer, a logon account must exist for that person. Create one first:

  1. Go to User Management → Logon Accounts.
  2. Click the Add New Logon Account (green plus) icon. The Add Logon Account page opens.
  3. In Account Name, enter the unique logon name. (If you’ll use Active Directory authentication, it must match the AD account name exactly. Note: an admin account already exists.)
  4. In Authentication, choose Generate New Password (issues a default password, or e-mails logon details if your mail server is configured) or Use Active Directory (available only if an AD configuration exists — click Lookup to populate Full Name and E-Mail).
  5. In Role, select Administrator (full access to the product) or Manager (limited menu to create, run, and review reports).
  6. Enter the E-Mail Address (used as the report recipient) and set a Home Directory for saved reports if needed.
  7. Under Select Group(s), choose the groups this account can report on. (Administrator role is locked to Enterprise; Manager role can be any group.)
  8. Click Add to create the account.

Once the account exists, log into the Visualizer with those credentials and continue below.

After logging into the visualizer you will be presented with a default blank dashboard. To start adding reports panels to your new dashboard please follow the below instructions:

  • Click “Add New Panel” to get started.
  • On the next screen, “New Panel,” you will be presented with two options:
    • Create From Template: As you create panels you will have the option of creating a new panel based on an existing template you previously created.
    • Create New Panel: Select this option to build a new panel.
