Local Logging and Reporting. The following features have been added:
CyBlock Appliance now has the ability to store log files locally and run reports from these log files. While local logging is the default, remote logging and reporting on Cyfin is still available.
The Data Management menu changes are as follows:
On the Log Data Source – Setup page, the Logging Type field allows you to choose Local or Remote.
This menu includes the screens for viewing, revalidating, and downloading log file data. The screen for enabling the Report Database is in this menu as well as the screens for importing, viewing, and deleting the data.
In User Management, the Abuse Thresholds field has been added to the Edit Users – Add, Edit Users – Modify, and Search Users pages.
The Reports menu covers creating different types of reports, running Dashboard Top and Trend charts, and viewing sample reports.
The Report Selection screen allows you to select a high-level or low-level report to run. Report groupings include High-Level Summary, Audit Detail, IT, and Forensic.
For each report on the Report Selection screen, a Tooltip provides a short description of the report to help you determine which report to run.
The Create Report page allows you to establish report settings and run the report at the present time (unscheduled). You can also schedule the report to run automatically at a specific time, that is, daily, weekly, or monthly at a specific hour, or set up the report to run manually as needed.
Report delivery options allow you to wait for the report and e-mail the report to multiple addresses that you specify.
Once you have run or scheduled reports, the Manage Reports screen allows you to manage these reports, that is, create, run, edit, duplicate, schedule, delete, and view. The page displays two lists–Recently Run Reports and Scheduled Reports.
In the System Status menu, the Abuse Thresholds link has been added to the Policy Reports screen.
In Settings, the Reports – Options menu item has been added.
The Report Options page allows you to set the visit filter, advanced options, maximum IDs, and language.
If remote logging is enabled, the menus and menu items for local logging are not available.
Log File Download. The following features have been added:
The Log File Download page allows you to download raw log files to a location of your choice.
You may select a single day or a range of days.
The log files will be compressed and combined into a ZIP file.
Go to Data Management – Log Data Source – Download to access this page.
